After the success of its inaugural edition, the 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA event is back. FCA Heritage is participating in the U.S. race with some of the most iconic classic cars of all time.
This year's edition sets the bar even higher, with more participants and more race days. As a champion of Italian creativity and motoring in the United States, Alfa Romeo is the sole Automotive Sponsor of the 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA.
The four-day event kicks off with an initial training day at Summit Point Motorsports Park, which will focus on regularity race rules and techniques. The following three days are taken up by the race itself.
The course covers over 500 miles and traverses some of the most striking and iconic locations in Virginia and Maryland. Fittingly, the race finishes on Italian soil, at Villa Firenze, the residence of Italy’s Ambassador to the United States in Washington, D.C.
The event is reserved for up to 40 cars in two classes. The 1000 Miglia Era Class includes models produced from 1927 to 1957 and other significant grand touring cars built during the same period, whereas the Post 1000 Miglia Era Class is open to sports cars, grand tourers and supercars produced after 1958. The crews are also divided into two categories, novice and veteran, based on the number of times they have entered the Italian version of the 1000 Miglia.
