Alfa Romeo inaugurates the new exhibition area of the Technik Museum Sinsheim, an institution for all vintage vehicle fans.
The Technik Museum Sinsheim occupies a listed industrial building dating from 1913.Attracting more than a million visitors every year, today it houses one of the largest and most comprehensive displays of historic vehicles, including motorcycles, aeroplanes, fire-brigade vehicles and, of course, cars.
On September 19, the Museum will write another important page in its history, dedicating it specifically to Alfa Romeo. Confirming the growing interest in the Alfa Romeo myth in northern European and in Germany in particular, the "Mythos Alfa Romeo" themed exhibition will inaugurate the brand new exhibition space known as Hall 3: an area of 3000 m2, which joins the existing buildings of 25,000 m2 and outdoor area of 150,000 m2. The show - which will run for twelve months - will be a continually evolving exhibit of 40 emblematic products from Alfa Romeo's history.
Among the featured Alfa Romeos are cars from private collections and various masterpieces from the FCA Heritage collection, normally displayed at "La Macchina del Tempo" - Museo Storico Alfa Romeo, in Arese. Visitors will be able to admire both legendary racing cars, such as the Alfa Romeo SE048SP or the Alfa Romeo 1900 C2 "Disco Volante", and magnificent examples of the finest Italian design, including the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 Super Sport with bodywork by Touring. And not just cars, since these wonderful models are accompanied by examples of Alfa Romeo's engineering genius, such as the Formula 1 engine and the innovative Q4 all-wheel drive system adopted on the Alfa Romeo 156.
