After the finishing sporting and technical checks and the delivery of the race numbers and road books, Viale Venezia will witness the traditional punching and a spectacular start.

Passing the shores of Lake Garda through the beautiful towns of Desenzano and Sirmione, and traversing the city of Verona with the Roman arena in the background, the procession heads to Ferrara in an exciting parade in the historic city centre, between the Castello Estense and Palazzo dei Diamanti. We then move on to Lugo and Imola, whose racetrack is celebrating its 70th anniversary and where our Alfa Romeos raced and won the 500 km in 1969. Stage 1 ends that evening in Cervia-Milano Marittima.
