The history of four world-leading Italian motoring brands
From the most emblematic models to the most successful, revolutionary people, and the most significant events, this section illustrates and celebrates the cornerstones of Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth.
Reloaded by creators is the Heritage project involving the sale of a small number of classic cars from the Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia and Abarth brands: historic models, with certified authenticity, restored to their original beauty by the Constructor itself.
This morning at 7 a.m., a colourful caravan of motorcars set off from Bologna, on the last stage of the 2019 1000 Miglia. This year’s edition will be remembered as having further consolidated the historic bond between Alfa Romeo and the “Freccia Rossa” or Red Arrow Race: the highest podium step in Brescia was conquered by the Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 SS from 1928, driven by Giovanni Moceri and Daniele Bonetti, while the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 SS Zagato driven by the Vesco-Guerini duo came second.
Moceri is the current Italian Champion of Grandi Eventi ACI Sport, and in recent years has won all the major Italian historical regularity competitions: the Mille Miglia, the Targa Florio, the Nuvolari Gran Premio and the Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomite. His car this year is one of the most treasured models of the FCA Heritage collection, and is normally on display in the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese. o The same car also won the re-enactment editions of 2005, 2007 and 2008. Alfa Romeo also won the Sponsor Team Trophy, thanks to Moceri and Bonetti’s win and the sixth place of the 6C 1750 SS Young driven by Cavalli and Gamberini.
